WSTA Board of Directors held its 3rd meeting in Manama yesterday 25 March 2016 with 9 members present. The meeting discussed various subjects related to current and future activities, The financial situation and President last visit to UAE.

Among the issues discussed, was an update on the technical issues concerning the 12th Gulf Water Conference. The Scientific Committee has developed the conference concept and decided on the schedule for papers submission while the first announcement is ready for distribution. A presentation of the conference website created recently was made and approved.

The meeting stressed on the urgent need to visit the Association Strategy implementation plan and therefore, a committee was formed to look at the plan and suggest time frame for implementation. Further, the meeting discussed the upcoming workshops intended to take place this year, 1st to cover the subject of Wastewater and Reuse and 2nd the use of Solar Energy in Desalination.
