WSTA delegation’s visit to the CEO of the Electricity and Water Authority, Kingdom of Bahrain

As part of the visits approved by the Board of Directors in its first meeting after the elections held in the month of August 2015, A delegation headed by Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Mahmoud paid a visit to His Excellency Sheikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain on Wednesday, October 7th. The aim of these visits is to strengthen the links between the WSTA and the water institutions, organisations and utilities operating in the GCC countries and to inform officials on the future WSTA activities.

H.E. Shaikh Nawaf Welcomed the initiative and praised the outstanding role played by the Association in order to promote water awareness among the various sectors in the region, and on the other hand, the president briefed him on the different activities that WSTAS intends to implement in the coming period, including the upcoming training course on Non-Revenue Water and the 12th Gulf Water Conference to be held in Bahrain in 2017.
