Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs the received at his office on Thursday, February 2, 2017 Mr. Abdul Rahman Almahmoud, the President and members of the Board in the presence of Engineer Adnan Mohammed Fakhro, vice CEO for Distribution and Customer Services of Electricity and Water Authority.

H.E. Mirza welcomed the attendees who briefed His Excellency on the Association’s activities and programs and their desire to organize the 12th Gulf Water Conference the Kingdom of Bahrain in late March 2017. The conference will be held under the theme “Water in the GCC Countries, Towards Integrated Strategies”.

HE Dr. Mirza praised the role of WSTA at the local level and in the Gulf Cooperation Council, in encourage interests in the Water Sciences, scientific researches and studies, conduct training programs and engage in the development of local capacity, while contributing actively in public awareness programs that achieve optimal use of water.

His Excellency also expressed the readiness of Electricity and Water Authority to cooperate with the Association in organizing the 12th gulf Water Conference and participate actively in the Organizing Committee in order to make it a success and achieve its objectives.

From his part, Mr. Almahmoud expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to HE Dr. Mirza and EWA officials for their support and the willingness to provide all the help possible to organize their conference in Bahrain next month, confirming the permanent cooperation with the EWA in all Water related matters.
