A training workshop on the quality of irrigation water for agricultural production organized by WSTA in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in Oman was yesterday Sunday April 8, 2018. The ceremony was attended by HE Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and attended by Engineer Hamad Bin Khamis Al Hatami and Dr. Rashid bin Yahya al-Abri members of WSTA Board on addition to a number of general managers and officials in the Ministry.

The workshop, which will be lectured by Dr. Ali Al-Jaloud, the Soil and Water Management Specialist at the National Center for Agricultural Technology at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, aims to enhance the importance of integrated water resources management under changing conditions of water salinity. The workshop is attended by a distinguished presence of ministry engineers and specialists in the fields of irrigation and soil from various governorates of the Sultanate with the follow-up of the ministry officials.

This activity comes within the Association’s scientific activities and initiative to spread the benefit and enhance the knowledge of the employees working in the irrigation and agriculture sector.
